Living with Lions

Living with Lions has been supported by numerous institutions and individuals over the last year. We are extremely grateful for their generous support, without which none of our work would be possible.

Panthera was founded in 2006 with the sole mission of conserving the world's 36 species of wild cats. Panthera currently focuses its range-wide conservation strategies on the world’s largest, most imperiled cats – tigers, lions, jaguars and snow leopards – and is planning conservation strategies for cheetahs, leopards and mountain lions.

Utilizing the knowledge and expertise of the world’s top cat biologists, and working in partnership with local and international NGO’s, scientific institutions, and government agencies, Panthera develops, implements, and oversees range-wide species conservation strategies.

Arthur Blank Family Foundation

Arthur Blank Family Foundation
The Foundation's mission is to promote positive change in people’s lives and to build and enhance the communities in which they live.

The Foundation has an especially strong interest in supporting innovative endeavors leading to better circumstances for low-income youth and their families.

Banovich Wildscapes Foundation: PRIDE Lion Conservation Initiative
Banovich Wildscapes Foundation fosters cooperative efforts to conserve the earth's wildlife and wild places to benefit the wildlife and the people that live there.

BWF promotes scientific research and conservation education; facilitates habitat protection and restoration projects; develops creative and respectful partnerships to fund conservation programs; and creates opportunities to build long-term community economic well-being. The Lion PRIDE initiative aims to save lions by supporting important scientific research, preserving large conservation landscapes, and benefiting community development.

Philadelphia zoo

Philadelphia Zoo
The Philadelphia Zoo’s 42-acre Victorian garden is home to more than 1,300 animals, many of them rare and endangered. The Zoo, fulfilling its mission of conservation, science, education and recreation, supports and engages in conservation efforts to protect endangered species around the world.

Serian Camp
Serian Camp is the charismatic bush home of Alex Walker, filmmaker and guide in the Masai Mara, and is also home to the Mara Predator Project. The experience at Serian is focused on viewing wildlife, in particular, the big five, in the northernmost extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. The focus of Serian is on the traditional and natural wildlife experience.

Serian endeavours to conserve a genuine environment, and as a result has become heavily involved in the long-term vision that will be the African wilderness in years to come.
