Offbeat Mara Camp

Offbeat Mara Camp is a small seasonal tented camp situated on the banks of the Olare Orok River. Due to the camp's location, they are able to monitor lions within both the Mara North and Olare Orok Conservancies. The guides are also responsible for monitoring the local Offbeat Pride, who are often found just a few hundred meters from camp.

Offbeat Mara Camp has been assisting the Mara Predator Project since 2009, and will be reincorporated into lion monitoring in early 2012. The camp is a member of the Mara North Conservancies, which protects 32,000 Ha of wilderness area in the north-eastern zone of the Greater Masai Mara ecosystem.
