Kicheche Bush Camp

Kicheche Bush Camp is a small luxury tented camp located at the eastern side of the Olare Orok Conservancy. As one of only three conservancy member camps, Kicheche Bush Camp enjoys quiet, non-crowded game drives, and viewings of the conservancy's large prides are excellent. Game drives are also taken inside the Masai Mara National Reserve.

A number of Kicheche Bush Camp guides partake in monitoring activities. In 2011, Kicheche donated a computer and camera dedicated for lion monitoring activities. The camera is used by guides to validate lion sightings, whilst the computer is used by guests to upload photographs and identify lions on the database.

Emma and Daren, the camp managers, work hard to encourage guide and guest participation. Because of this support and the dedication of the guides, the camp is able to collect excellent data on the local lion population.

In addition, the Kicheche Trust have been fundamental in expanding the Mara Predator Project team by joint-sponsoring Kasaine Sankan, the project assistant.
